 Freshmen Boys Soccer gets 2nd win over Appo

        This past Monday, October 20th, Mount Freshmen Boys Soccer earned their first road win when they defeated Appoquinimik High School 2-1.

 

        The Green Knights were off to a good start in the first half; playing with a strong offense and defense. Meanwhile,the Appo' Jaguars had failed to score in each of their attempts.

 

        At the 20,'  Center Midfielder Nicholas Larkin of the Green Knights crossed a ball to striker Carson Fowler, who went through the defense and passed to Ishraq Alam, who then took the shot and scored for the early 1-0 lead.

 

        The tide shifted in the second half as the Jaguars' game improved.

 

        At the 40,' one of the Jaguars defenders crossed the ball to a striker, who then scored to tie the game at 1-1.

 

        At the 45', Mount took possession of the ball. Alex Cui made an outstanding pass to Carson Fowler, who then carried the ball across the field; eventually scoring and giving the Green Knights the lead again.

 

        The Jaguars were unable to recover.

 

        The Green Knights were victorious in their first road win and their 2nd win of the season. It was an especially great day for Ishraq Alam because he was able to score on his birthday!
